ABOUT US
Robin Keyte
Robin Keyte has been a director of Towers of Taunton (Financial
Services) Ltd since 1997, and joined the company after completing
a PhD in chemistry. He is a fee-based Chartered Financial Planner
and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER CM, a founder member and current
Chair of the Ethical Investment Association and Director of the
UK Social Investment Forum.
 
In the Money Management Financial Planner of the Year Awards 2009, Robin won two awards, Cautious Investment Planner and Wealth Management Planner of the Year.
Outside of work, Robin has helped the UK Social Investment Forum
campaign for greater awareness of ethical investment in the industry,
and was involved in drafting the syllabus for new financial planning
exams, the International Standard for Financial Planning (ISO 22222)
and the national standard for generic financial advice. He has
been described as one of the more forward looking independent financial
advisers in the UK, and was involved in the FSA Business Ethics
Forum and is a founding director of Fair Money Ltd, a working group
established to bring about better business
ethics in financial services.
Robin is
also interested in direct social investment and has been researching
new social and environmental investment mechanisms with Wessex
Reinvestment Trust in a project jointly funded by the Esmee Fairbairn
and Friends Provident Foundations.

Debbie McMaster
Debbie
started working with Robin in March 2005, having moved to the UK
from Zimbabwe in 2004. After a while she began to get used to the
climate and the different cultural environment, and Debbie and
her family are now well settled and enjoying living in Taunton.
Debbie
is responsible for dealing with the servicing requirements of Robin's
clients, dealing with Robin's diary and holding the fort when Robin
is out of the office.
Debbie enjoys running and cycling (despite
our climate), reading and spending time with her family.
Duncan Shaun
Duncan has recently finished university gaining a 2.1 BA (Hons)
in Business Studies from the University of Plymouth and is currently
working towards qualification as a fee-based financial planner.
Duncan is a trainee at Towers of Taunton and hopes to be fully
qualified and acting on behalf of his own clients in the next 18
months. While working to this achievement he contributes with both
the administrative and financial planning aspects to the business.
Duncan is an active person and in his free time enjoys skateboarding
and BMX riding. He enjoys living in Taunton which is where he grew
up and where most of his family and friends live. Duncan shares
Robin's views on ethical investment and is keen to make progress
and learn more in this area, having already been to his first meeting
of the Ethical Investment Association in London in March 2007.
Samantha Kay
Samantha is the newest addition to Robin's team at Towers of Taunton and has so far completed her first three financial planning exams in the Certificate in Financial Planning course. She is currently studying towards her fourth in the series and hopes to become Cert PFS qualified by the end of 2009.
Samantha recently graduated from the University of Sheffield with a 2.1 BA (Hons) in Archaeology, Prehistory and Medieval History and then from the University of Durham with an MA in Museum and Artefact Studies. She joined the team in July 2008 after moving back to England from Jersey.
Outside of work Samantha likes archaeology and visiting historical sites, as well as travelling and spending time in her new home with her family and cats.
